NON-CORPORATE RELATIONS

As well as sending youths on international exchange, taking in international volunteers to volunteer in Sydney is another core aspect of what AIESEC does. The Non-Corporate Incoming Exchange (ICX NC) portfolio focuses on two areas, both with a purpose of developing the global community:

1. Non-Corporate Incoming Exchange: Targeting non-for-profit organisations looking for short-term contract workers, we liaise with NGOs to promote AIESEC exchange to them. Our mission is to create access to more global community development projects in the region for our international volunteers. We aim to secure a mutually beneficial working experience for our AIESEC interns and the NGOs by drawing up cost effective, efficient, short-term contracts. Key activities performed by ICX NC members include:

• Member Training

• Cold Calling

• Networking

• Booking Meetings

• Effective follow-up

• Account Management

• Partner Engagement

• Intern Screening/Matching Intern

• Servicing Quality Control

2. Foreign Language Basics (FLB): FLB is a project run by AIESEC Sydney to provide students with an on-campus opportunity to learn a language and the culture behind it through an innovative, interactive and fun approach. The classes are taught by international university students on an AIESEC exchange to Australia to teach for FLB. ICX NC members are responsible for setting up quality, comprehensive and affordable holiday courses, recruiting and accommodating for the these tutors.

AIESEC's vision is "peace and fulfilment of humakind's potential.

AIESEC is the world’s largest student-run organisation, run by youth - like you – who are passionate about global awareness and leadership. We want to enrich people’s lives through international experiences allowing them to make an impact on the world. This is achieved by sending exchange participants on our Go Global Programs. Exchange participants not only make a direct social impact, but they also develop as leaders of tomorrow.

Seeing the changes in members over the course of the semester, and knowing that I am doing something significant.
