In partnership with University of Sydney Business School and Civil Engineering School, are now available for students studying relevant degrees.
AIESEC committees around the world set up partnerships with NGOs and other organisations to create an issue-based project. AIESEC Sydney sends exchange participants overseas for 6 – 8 weeks to work on a project to create an impact on developing communities.
Programs generally last for 6 – 8 weeks, because we want to ensure that you get the most out of your cultural experience and make an impact on other communities.
We have programs available all year round.
The common periods tend to be in the Winter Break (June - August) and the Summer Break (November – February).
Many volunteer organizations offer very similar programs in similar countries with similar experiences. Typically, they last around 2-4 weeks and cost about $2,000-4,000. This is about the cost of a holiday, and if you think about it, it’s a small price to pay for a life-changing experience. This is why thousands of Australians go on these programs every year.
An AIESEC program lasts for at least 6 weeks and has an administration fee of only $600.
The reason why are so inexpensive is because we are a not-for-profit and completely student run. At local levels, we are all university students – volunteers - working out of our free will to facilitate these exchange programs. This is because we want to give as many students as possible the chance to develop their leadership potential and make a difference.
Flights, travel insurance, visas, vaccinations and living expenses are at your own cost. However, many of our programs do provide accommodation and food.
