Exchange Scholarships

The University of Sydney Business School, Civil Engineering School and the School of Aerospace, Mechanical & Mechatronic will provide a financial subsidy of up to $600 to cover the AIESEC exchange-related expenses for three of its students. As a student of the these schools going on our exchange program, you are invited to apply for this opportunity.

 
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

 

1. Business / Civil Engineering / AMME School students undertaking an AIESEC exchange this summer. You can be an undergraduate or postgraduate, and your degreeb can be part of a double degree.

 

2. You may apply at any stage. The scholarship will be in the form of a reimbursement once you return from your exchange experience. You will not be eligible should you discontinue with your AIESEC exchange application.

 

DOCUMENT CHECKLIST

 

1. A one-page statement of motivation that covers, but not limited to, these 3 points:

 

  • Motivation for undertaking an AIESEC Exchange

  • Which graduate attributes you think will/ hope to/ aim to develop as a result of this AIESEC Exchange experience

  • How this Exchange will help with your career plans.

 

Please include your name and Student ID number in the header.

 

2. An updated resume/CV (there are no explicit criteria for how you should tailor your resume; it is a chance for the Business School committee to get a better picture of who you are, what you're studying, what else you're involved in, what else have you done, etc).

 

Please attach your one-page statement of motivation and your updated resume/CV to the webform after clicking ‘APPLY NOW’ at the top right hand corner.

 

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

 

1. Agreement to help AIESEC Sydney with its marketing efforts (e.g. speaking at 3 of our information sessions when you return from your exchange, taking photos and tagging us on Facebook, writing a testimonial of your experience, etc). More details will be revealed upon success.

 

2. Agreement to help the university with its marketing efforts (e.g.  speaking at certain Business School events when you return from your exchange, writing a blog post(s) about your exchange experience, being featured in news articles, etc)

 

*Submitting your application means you agree with the terms and conditions.

 

SELECTION PROCESS

 

1. A funding committee from the university will review your application (resume + statement of motivation) and make the final decision.

 

2. The Business School will notify the 3 successful applicants; Civil Engineering (1); AMME (1), and then will request the ORIGINAL RECEIPT(S). This is when you will be reimbursed. The receipt(s) can be of your travel costs, AIESEC Exchange administrative fee (the $600 you paid), accommodation; it must be related to your AIESEC exchange.

 

Successful applicants will receive an official letter from the School and be reimbursed upon return. You will be reimbursed for up to $600 once you have completed your exchange.
