Exchange Descriptions

So what kind of work will you be doing when you're overseas with AIESEC Sydney? Below is a list of different types of exchange descriptions you can go on! If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact us. 

 

HIV/AIDs
·      Research on effective ways of educating people on HIV/AIDs
·      Raise awareness of the issue through giving health talks, educating on personal development and promoting a healthy lifestyle
·      Carrying out counselling sessions
·      Engage with teenagers through activities such as sports, games, art, music, dance etc.
·      Preparing materials and conducting HIV/AIDs workshops
·      Participating and planning events, projects and activities to raise awareness of HIV/AIDs
·      Giving marketing calls
·      Fund raising
·      Visit HIV/AIDs patients in shelters and homes


Cultural Awareness
·      Lecture on cultural exchange and foreign education
·      Make a country presentation and share the idea of cultural tolerance
·      Design effective training programs on cultural differences, soft skills, career planning and ecological issues
·      Deliver training sessions to stimulate proactive thinking and increase awareness about personal values
·      Organise extra curricular activities
·      Assist with activities


Education
·      Work with non-government organisations
·      Attend sessions run by professionals in the field
·      Prepare and deliver presentations and workshops to public centres
·      Prepare necessary materials and organise session logistics
·      Prepare and organise creative sessions to high school students
·      Teach English to children in rural areas. Create a learning environment where students are encouraged to speak English
·      Engage in culture sharing activities
·      Create an article or documentary


Environmental Sustainability
·      Plan, design and prepare workshops or courses related to environment, environment protection and energy education to raise awareness among teenagers
·      Brainstorm learning activities to plan, design and prepare English courses
·      Engage in culture sharing activities


Entrepreneurship
·      Running seminars on areas such as cultural diversity, goal settings, career, self development and soft skills
·      Prepare teaching materials
·      Attending and participating in preparation and delivery training sessions
·      Attending and participating in training in human resources, marketing, management
·      Participating in intercultural events
·      Improve managerial and professional skills


Community Development
·      Provide tuition for classes
·      Provide counselling and encourage students to discuss issues including career orientation, personal problems and common social issues
·      Assist in developing computer skills
·      Help fund raising
·      Participate in promotional activities
·      Create educational material
