Why go on an AIESEC Go Teach Program?

 

Our Go Teach program provides you a transition between academic studies and a professional career through practical experience. It offers you real time challenges in a culturally different environment and allows you to develop a deeper cultural understanding and global mobility.

 

Even if you do not have an education related career path, it is expected that you seek to gain professional experience through the program as well as cross-cultural understanding and insight into education systems abroad.

 

How do we do it?

 

AIESEC committees around the world set up partnerships with companies and other organisations to organise an international placement.

 

AIESEC Sydney sends exchange participants overseas for 3-18 months to work in a global environment teaching languages, social sciences, and more.

AIESEC is the world’s largest student-run organisation, run by youth - like you – who are passionate about global awareness and leadership. We want to enrich people’s lives through international experiences allowing them to make an impact on the world. This is achieved by sending exchange participants on our Go Global Programs. Exchange participants not only make a direct social impact, but they also develop as leaders of tomorrow.

 

When do we do it?

 

We have programs available all year round.

 

How long do programs last?

 

Go Teach Programs generally last for 3 – 18 months. This program is a long-term global internship where exchange participants will experience professional and personal development teaching languages, social sciences and more.

 

Cost

 

An AIESEC Go Teach Program costs $750. The reason why are so cheap is because we are notfor-profit and completely student run. At local levels, we are all university students volunteering to facilitate these exchange programs to students. This is because we want to give as many students as possible the chance to go overseas and have a life changing experience.

 

 

Flights, travel insurance, visas, vaccinations and living expenses are at your own cost. However, many of our programs do provide accommodation and food.

 

Requirements

 

•  All current undergraduate students or graduate students within 2 years after obtaining a degree.

•  Age: 18 to 30 years old.

•  Internship duration of 3-18 months.
