​HOW WE BEGAN

In 1948, AIESEC -  Association Internationale des Etudiants en Sciences Economiques et Commerciales or International Economic and Commercial Sciences Students Association -  was founded in Stockholm in the tumultuous post WWII environment. They aimed to help develop "friendly relations" between member countries by offering programmes, whose aim was to promote cultural understanding and provide practical business experience to contribute to the better world without wars. Today, AIESEC is present in over 110 countries and is the world's largest student organisation.
