AIESEC Sydney

The Finance portfolio is invaluable to the operation of AIESEC. It is strongly embedded in the organisation as a supervisory that is responsible not only for controlling in financial means but also for deliberately providing the financial framework for the plans and strategies. Finance portfolio operates at both the strategic level and lowest level of detail, and at a 360-degree view of the financial activities.
Finance portfolio focuses on three main areas of Finance:
1. Internal auditing, such as tracking, analysis, reporting, measuring and control.Finance portfolio works closely with other portfolios to maintain a clear and transparent financial system within the organisation. It tracks and monitors the resources for the best utilisation and the high quality return on investments.
2. Governance
Finance Portfolio prepares audit documentation for a yearly audit carried out by the University Union at the end of each financial year. In order to ensure that financial practices are in line with all statutory legislation and regulation, the portfolio needs to possess up-to-date knowledge of the funding regulations
3. Sponsorship
Finance portfolio ensures the tracking of funding from the University of Sydney Union to sponsor the events. It also provides analytical insight into investments for optimal allocation of resources.
